WEBINAR: Lessons from the Field – Promising Strategies to Prevent Student Harassment and Bullying Behavior

In this webinar, hosted by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Office of Safe and Supportive Schools, the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE), panelists will focus on what schools can do to support students who have been or are being bullied or harassed, bystanders who witness this behavior, and students who are engaging in harassing or bullying behavior. They will start with a presentation on the trends, impacts, and essential elements of effective solutions to bullying and harassing behavior. Then, via a panel discussion, they will highlight strategies schools are using to prevent bullying behavior and provide supports to involved students to enhance their sense of safety and teach prosocial coping skills. They will conclude the webinar by addressing questions posed by the audience.
