After penning a provocative essay on education standards for FutureEd, Mike Cohen, former president of Achieve, and Laura Slover, CEO of CenterPoint Education Solutions, join the Education Gadfly podcast for a conversation with the Thomas B. Fordham Institute’s Mike Petrilli.
“What we are proposing is that states require that districts provide guidance around curriculum or that they create an opportunity for a single curriculum,” Slover said. “For a district to meet state requirements it has to show evidence of a high quality curriculum and an aligned and coherent system built around that curriculum. So curriculum really is the lead driver.”
