Podcast: Leading a Liberal Arts College During the Pandemic

Carol Quillen, president of Davidson College, talks about how the private North Carolina college  is focusing on the essential elements of its mission and vision by fostering community during the Covid-19 pandemic, when all contact is virtual.

“So how do we help our students, especially our very, very achievement-oriented, talented students manage a world where much is out of their control and they’re going to need to live in the gray maybe in a way that they are not accustomed to? And I think that is an important skill, an important capacity that we want to develop in our young people,” Quillen says.
