Eleanor Walter is a research associate for FutureEd and second year student at the McCourt School of Public Policy. Coming from a family of educators and training as a pre-service teacher, Eleanor has centered education in her life and policy work. Prior to coming to McCourt, Eleanor channeled her passion for education while working in the Texas House of Representatives during the 2023 Texas Legislative Session, working directly with educators and school staff to pass bills related to school safety. Eleanor is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin holding degrees in theatre education and government.
