Thomas S. Dee, Ph.D., is a professor at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education. and director of the Stanford Center for Education Policy Analysis (CEPA). He is also a research associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR).
His recent research projects have focused on teacher performance assessment and turnover in the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), federally sponsored whole-school reforms under NCLB waivers, and the impact of curricular reforms in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD).
