A new FutureEd report on attendance trends suggests that student absenteeism during the pandemic has been far greater during than previously reported, especially among younger children and disadvantaged students. Left unchecked, this level of absenteeism threatens to undermine derail efforts to help students make up for lost instructional time post-pandemic.
